Puerto Vallarta City Tour

Get more from your vacation in Puerto Vallarta! Visit all points of interest including Guadalupe Church, City Hall, the Malecon (also referred to as the Seawall or Boardwalk), Rio Cuale, and many more picturesque sites on this great introductory tour.

Starting on the North end of Puerto Vallarta, the tour begins at Marina Vallarta where a row of elegant restaurants encompass docks filled with sailboats, lavish yachts, and plenty of friendly sea life. From here, the tour covers the beach front golf course before continuing inland to El Pitillal, a popular suburb filled with hundreds boutique style stores and several magnificent cathedrals as well as a central park.

Back at the ocean front, the tour includes a brief walk with your tour guide sharing stories and information from Puerto Vallarta’s famous seahorse, to monuments like the city hall and the renowned Iglesia (church) Guadalajara. At this point, the tour sets aside ample time for shopping before returning to the bus.

puerto-vallarta-river.jpgThe next stop are the tropical botanic gardens of “The Cuale River Island.” A favorite for photos, this island is the point where the river splits in two before meeting the ocean beneath an expansive, split bridge. After this, guests are guided to Puerto Vallarta’s south end, known as Zona Romantica, where a visit to a local Tequila Factory teaches the age-old process of making raicilla (Tequila.) Tastings here are a tradition- enjoy flavored Tequilas, including vanilla, almond, and even chocolate Tequila. Yum!

As a finale, the tour strolls into the rainforest to a restaurant hidden deep in tropical foliage and serenaded by the sounds of waterfalls, parrots, and other sounds of the jungle. Many guests enjoy a cocktail and lunch or simply take pictures. Waterfalls form multi-tiered pools where swimming is welcome and photo opportunities are abundant.
