In the sixth grade I wanted to be a Tupperware Dealer. My mother was a “Tupperware Lady” and it appeared to me to be a pretty good gig. She worked mostly from home and set her own hours. As far as I could tell she spent most of her time shopping and hosting parties. It seemed like a good career choice at the time.
I once read a quote by Mavis Gallant which said “Success can only be measured in terms of distance traveled.” If Mavis was correct then I have found great success in this life. I have been fortunate to travel extensively and my travel experiences have truly shaped my life. Though I have not always been an avid traveler, I started out on a different path. I was a pre-med student in college bound for medical school. While working in the oncology unit of a local hospital during my final year of undergraduate studies, one of my patients encouraged me to postpone med school and travel the world. She felt very strongly that once I went on to med school I would never find the time to travel and the opportunity would be lost. A few days after our conversation, she passed. It had a major and lasting impact on me.

Dear Yvette Ulloa,
As a valued AAdvantage member, we want to clarify what you may be reading in the press. As a result of a commercial dispute, over the past several weeks there have been changes to how we sell our tickets. American Airlines last month removed its fares and schedules from Orbitz.com, and effective January 1Expedia.com stopped offering American Airlines fares on its website. Additionally Sabre, a company that distributes airline fares and schedules, made it more difficult for travel agents to find and select American’s flights by moving our fares lower in the display order than they normally would be listed.

We went on a
“peaceful” trail walk nearby this boutique hotel which was hidden in the California mountains. One of our best friends recommended it, and as a matter of fact, gave us a gift to take a couple days off to decompress, re-energize and re-focus, since we have had a few challenging times due to my health and Dave’s dad passing (see www.galoulloa.com).

When you walk into the Westin San Diego hotel you get the first class experience however you realize you’re not paying the 5 star prices. The one way streets make it a little tough to find the valet parking however from the moment you are greeted by their staff you are treated like you are a VIP. If you have your own car be prepared to valet for $32 per day.
So…we came to our cousin’s graduation in San Diego and wanted to experience the wonderful heavenly beds while we gave the Westin Hotel in San Diego some great reviews. We are so proud of Chris Ruiz a new marine in our country, and are very emotional as we get ready to attend his graduation tomorrow.
As we were looking around for restaurants we noticed that four blocks away is Little Italy in San Diego and so we wanted to find one of the best Italian Restaurants. What a difficult choice! So many menus, so many beautiful restaurants, so much charisma in this Little Italy town in San Diego!

We went on a five day cruise aboard Carnival from Galveston TX to Cozumel Mexico and we had the time of our lives. It was a non-stop party and a floating buffet. All your food is included YES IT IS!
Our travel blog was created to tell you the good, the bad and the ugly. If you like to drink adult beverages, this is where your bill can increase. We had people who paid between $500 to over $1000 in drink bills! Since you don’t pay until the end, they just add it to your bill and SURPRISE!!
